What the San Jose designs show
A rambling Victorian mansion in purple engraving — turrets, gables, a witch-hat roof and a veranda running the length of it — with three green palms standing on the left and cloud drawn in halftone behind.
It is a deliberately odd choice for a city known for offices, and the better card for it. A postcard front should be a thing you would stop and look at, and this is a house people queue to walk around.
When people send one
Work trips, mostly, and the family visits attached to them. Cards from here tend to go to people who have heard a lot about Silicon Valley and never seen it.
