What the Honolulu designs show

This is the composition that has been sent from this island for a century, and drawing it rather than photographing it is what keeps it from looking like a brochure.
Why sending from here is different
Hawaii is the trip where somebody at home is genuinely envious, and a postcard is the polite way to be smug. It is also the trip where the postal errand is most annoying to run, which is the practical reason to do it this way.
Cards from here also tend to go out in batches, because a Hawaii trip is the one people tell everybody about. Several recipients can go on a single order, so six cards to six addresses is one sitting rather than six.
