Las Vegas postcards, printed and mailed

Las Vegas is the most postcard-shaped city in America — built to be photographed, lit for it, and full of people who owe somebody at home a message. The designs cover the Strip; the back is where you explain yourself.

What the Las Vegas designs show

The Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign, drawn as an engraving with a starburst coming off the top of it and the Strip in silhouette along the bottom — a needle tower at one end, the low casino roofs at the other. Purple and pink inks on cream, not neon photography.

Which is the honest way to put this city on a card. A phone photo of the Strip at night is mostly blown-out highlights; a drawn sign holds its edges at 4x6 and looks like something worth keeping.

When people send one

Bachelor and bachelorette weekends, conferences, and birthdays with a zero in them. Vegas trips come with a built-in reason to send a card, and often a built-in list of people who were not invited.

The card they can thank you for

Every card carries a QR code the recipient can scan to say thank you, which in this case doubles as proof you were thinking of somebody at 2am. Five thanks earns you a free postcard.
