What the Charleston designs show
A run of tall houses drawn in green ink, gable ends and shutters and arched doorways stepping away down the street, with two sabal palmettos in the left corner and pink halftone clouds behind the roofline.
The palmetto is the state tree and it is doing the identifying work here, because a row of shuttered houses could be several southern cities and the palmetto could only be this one.
